WHAT TYPE OF BOAT ARE WE IN?
We are in a 20 ft. Rigid-Hull Inflatable Boat-know as a Rib. The Coast Guard and Military used these type of vessels.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ON THE TOUR?
There are 6 passengers plus the Captain.
IS THERE A WEIGHT RESTRICTION?
Yes, the limit is 280 lbs per person, due to the limited space on the vessel.
DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SWIM?
Yes, although, we are not swimming on the tour it is a must that you know how to swim in case of emergency. Life Jackets are available in case of an emergency.
DO YOU PROVIDE ANYTHING TO EAT?
No we don’t. However, we suggest to bring your favorites foods, snack and treats. Shop at our favorite local markets in Waimea town or call us and we will suggest other areas. We do provide the cooler with ice.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE MORNING & AFTERNOON TOUR?
The biggest difference between morning tour is the starting times. In the morning, you are starting early at 6:30 am. In the afternoon you are starting at 1:30 pm and coming back later in the evening at 7:30 pm. This is from June to September, seeing all the same sites. Although the afternoon tour has an awesome sunset.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SUNRISE AND SUNSET TOUR?
Sunrise is only during June through September months. The sunrises start around 5:56 am in June. That’s an ideal time for the sunrise. The sunset starts setting at around 7:12 pm in June and through September at around 7:25 pm. Great sunsets.
IS THERE A BAG TO KEEP OUR TOWELS AND BAG PACKS DRY?
Yes, each guest will be have a dry bag for their belongings. Space is limited on the boat so please bring only one set of dry clothing, towel, camera, sunscreen, medications and personal effects you will need. for that day. This is a relaxing cruising tour.
IS THERE A RESTROOM ABOARD?
No, there is no restroom aboard. However, there is a bathroom at the check-in area. Please use the bathroom before the start of the tour. It is a good idea to empty the bladder before the tour.
CHILDREN OF WHAT AGES ARE ALLOWED?
Children are precious so starting at the age of 6 years old is allowed.
CAN WE WEAR LIFE JACKETS ABOARD?
Yes, you can wear Life Jackets aboard.
ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS BASED ON MEDICAL CONDITIONS?
Yes, there are. For passengers who are pregnant, have a bad back, heart conditions, bad neck, bad shoulder, bad hips, weak knees and have had recent surgeries, this tour is not for you. The raft can be too bumpy and adventurous for some. Please let us know before making reservations.
